Formed in March 2013, the band consists of Kriss Stainton (Vocals/Guitar), Hayden Marshall (Bass Guitar) and Andrew Holland (Drums). Habberdash are a new and exciting group from South Yorkshire with a refreshing sound, taking influence from artists as diverse as Jeff Buckley, Nirvana, The Beatles and The Foo Fighters. Habberdash are fast becoming one of the must see bands on the Yorkshire music scene and are known for the excellent relationships they have with their loyal fan base. Since their formation in March 2013 Habberdash have played everywhere from local working men's clubs to music festivals and have gigged some of South Yorkshire’s most popular live venues. They have played on the bill with some fantastic local artists and have supported the likes of Fearless Vampire Killers and most notably opened for Buzzcocks at Doncaster Live 2013. The band won a listeners choice competition 'Do it unplugged' on the popular radio station SineFM which also gave them busking rights at The Keepmoat Stadium, home of Doncaster Rovers. They have been featured on music websites such as the Australian Musician Network and Lyric Lounge Review. Maggie Sapet, music journalist for AMN said; “Habberdash have that something extra that makes them different from every other band out there … These boys know what they’re doing as musicians and have worked out a happy medium whereby nobody’s skills are overlooked…” The band recorded their first EP at the studio used by the now uber-famous, Bring Me The Horizon. The Habberdash EP was released on 28th October with 2 of the tracks from it being featured by BBC Introducing, in response to popular public demand. Tracks from the EP have already been played on other radio stations throughout the country. With some exciting upcoming announcements, they are without doubt, a band to watch
