There are three groups releasing music under the name Hejira.
1.) A post rock band based in Vancouver.

2.) Purist of Electronic music since the age of 16, Stuart, a.k.a 'Hejira' recorded mixes on demand for peers & devoted his time outside of school to production attempts.
By the age of 21, Stuart had now spent several years developing his mixing techniques digitally, successfully founded the popular dance music community 'Phat City' for the state of Queensland in Australia, & travelled the globe sampling inspirations in half a dozen countries.
After mastering the manipulation of vinyl & CDs it wasnt long before the attention started to come from event organisers, & the demand began to grow for public performances.
Today, the KrankyDigital.com resident DJ continues to release regular online mixes, frequents local event line ups, and has represented Australia on the global stage Afterhours.FM alongside the nations most popular talent.
With an energetic stage presence & no genre out of bounds, Hejira's unique Breakbeat Electro & Tech Trance based onslaughts have proven to put the toughest sound system to the test, ensuring a demand from System 6, Ritual, Fuze, Traffic, Kranky Digital, & Intencity production crew events.
3.) Formed in 2010, Hejira are Sam Beste, Rahel Debebe-Dessalegne, Alexis Nunez and Alex Reeve - a group of Londoners with a diverse collective heritage spanning the entire globe from Chile and Hungary through to Ethiopia and Germany. Borne of many years of experience performing individually in a bewildering amount of styles with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Tom Jones, Nitin Sawhney, Eric Lau and Connan Mockasin, the band seek to build this musicianship into an uncompromisingly visceral, passionate yet tender sound.
No strangers to live performance, Hejira will be taking their album on the road for their UK wide TraumTour in October, an extension of their monthly Traum events. Traum began at Servant Jazz Quarters and then moved to Shacklewell Arms to sellout success drawing in performers from the cream of London's avant-pop scene such as The Invisible, Micachu & The Shapes, Kwabs, Kwes and Gwilym Gold. The growth of the event has led to a community of artists and music lovers with further opportunity for creative cross-pollination between like-minded heads.
