Hexed Hands were formed in 2010 by Jordan Gelling and Jahn 'Lex' Alexander after befriending one another during a music course. Following a very short period as Mt. Green and The Clings, the duo were joined by Jon M. Dawes and assumed the name Hexed Hands. The band spent most of its early days playing one-off gigs at local pubs while tracking demos at home and in the studio on analog tape. They would give out sample CD's of those recorded demos wrapped in origami folded newspaper after live shows to members of the audience. While the band's gigs were few and far between, they managed to play notable venues in England and secured a set at Kendal Calling Festival in 2011 alongside Blondie, Echo & The Bunnymen and The Cribs. The band has since amicably gone on hiatus in 2012 to focus on different projects.
