Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs, fast becoming national festival favorites, are the Godfathers of the musical genre 'Skunk' - Skiffle/Punk.
The basic core of three members: Hobo Jones (Tea chest bass, Banjo, Gob Iron), Miser Bill (guitar & Kazoo) & Wino Tyrone (Washboard, pots, pans & kitchen sink) are one of the most unusual and energetic acts playing in the UK today.
They will skiffle almost anything (including The Pussycat Dolls!) and with seriously funny banter between/during songs, they have gained a reputation as a 'Comedy' band who will keep you laughing all night with their own brand of musical entertainment. They seem to make themselves at home anywhere they play; from the corner of a small pub or busking outside your local Post office, to a large outdoor festival stage, it doesn't matter where this band play, they always go down a storm!
The band have supported The Levellers, Dr. & The Medics, Chas & Dave & Bad Manners. They won the Maidstone Busker's Festival, played many weekend festivals including Run To The Sun, VW Expo, The Bath & West Bike Show, The Ragged Hedge Festival, Larmer Tree Festival, Endorse-It In-Dorset Festival, Beautiful Days Festival, and the Avalon stage at Glastonbury Festival.
Dressed in tattered suits and top hats, they grab your attention wherever they go and their tongue in cheek comedy, and brilliant blend of originals and reworked covers , will have you tapping your feet, laughing and singing along in no time.
'One of the hardest working bands on the UK Circuit, you wont be disappointed, FIVE STARS *****'
'They're FANTASTIC!' - Simon, The Levellers.
'The best band of the weekend' - Phill 'Swill' Odgers, The Men They Couldn't Hang.
'GREAT!' - Mark Kermode.
'The best band of the weekend' - Lamma, Pronghorn.
'Rancidly Exuberant' - Mark Radcliffe.
'Who are you?' - Katie Melua.
'The best night of my life' - Jade, aged 7, Hastings.
