A lot of bands have something to say but Honeytone Cody have something to ask. With now just three members of the band there is plenty of room for instrument swapping, role reversals and double drumming, rather than relying on a stringent and stale guitars/bass/drums/vocals set up. Honeytone cody create a contrast of beautiful vocal melodies jarring against sonic guitars, dynamic drum beats and ever-evolving soundscapes, the result is something that earns their music a space far, far outside of genre. Founded by Siblings Elle and Elliot Nelson and recently joined by drummer Martell James, Honeytone Cody have years of collective experience under their belts. Claiming their influences range from Charles Bukowski to David Lynch, the atmosphere created by their music is as dark as it is poetic. They are still looking to connect, to make people feel something, anything no matter how up or down a song's arrangement is. With a new single entitled Radioactive Tease to be released at the end of March on Honeytone’s own label Tiki Voodoo Records and more new music on the way, the band is going from strength to strength. “Honeytone have the seeds of greatness, something new and fresh that, in the hands of the right record company, could wipe the floor with the opposition and change the entire dull, predictable guitar-based rock music genre.” http://www.myspace.com/honeytonecody http://www.honeytonecody.com
