1) JAXX is the name Patrick Jacks has used in the video game arrangement community, He was inspired by video game composers such as: Hiroki Kikuta, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yuzo Koshiro , Nobuo Uematsu and others. He was fascinated with the idea of recreating nostalgic retro game music that he grew up with. He started out in the scene using tracker programs, messing around with midi arrangements and what not then started putting out arrangements in a punk/rock style, which he was more familiar with and is most known for in the scene. He took off from the scene back in 2002 to spend more of his time searching out spiritual truths making few contributions over the years, mainly to VGMix and lately to the Dwelling of Duels.

Born in the uk ' and emergrated to Australia in 1988 ' Hijaxx has been mixing beats since early 2002. by attending the social scene, attending dance music clubs & events is where his passion for electronic music began, Neil knew that he wanted to be more involved in the sound and atmosphere that he loved and Dj'ing could satisfy those needs. Electro is his preferred style but he is not limited to just the one genre, devoted to a more eclectic range of beats bass & treble. Throughout his academic studies Hijaxx was a valued band member and bass guitarist to local band Fracture. The band played at local festivals and in 1997 they award the runner up prize in a tough regional competition named Battle of the Band's. Utilising his rhythm, knowledge of music, song structure and attention to detail Hijaxx uses all of his experience in producing sets by beat juggling, sampling and scratching to create a unique and exciting vibe to his sets. From Electro to Breaks to House right through to Techno, Hijaxx has had experience in playing many different styles. .
Hijaxx has performed at various clubs and events throughout Sydney over the several years of his career including, IceBox, Daydreams, Breed, Wanted, Diversity, Velocity, The Globe, Castles, Gas/Bohem, World Bar and Embrace @ Luna Park. He has also been fortunate to play on radio shows including, Nova, Triple J, CPX and Pulse Radio. Supporting some of Sydney's biggest DJ's along the way
It wasn't until July 2004 when Hijaxx experienced the highlight of his DJing career to date by winning the IceBox DJ Competition. Competing against 72 DJ's, through heats, semi finals and finals, Hijaxx's unique and creative mixing ability alongside his natural talent stood out above the rest. Winning himself a prize pack which included the highly sort after club residency spot. A great achievement for any DJ to earn & experience. Since then the IceBox has unfortunately closed it's doors but Hijaxx is still performing at many clubs across Sydney in the coming months. More recently Hijaxx has been working on creating & producing his own material, where he ultimately hopes to one day release his beats on a well known label.
The future is looking bright for DJ Hijaxx as he sets out to achieve his goals in the coming years and have the opportunity to play at top line clubs here in Syndey an throuhout the Globe.
