THREE YEARS AGO whilst serving in the ROYAL NAVY Artist & Songwriter Jay Picton (aka Jay & The boys) found music by chance. Now the first EVER individual to be granted a sabbatical for Music, Jay shows honest reflections of an Artist well before his years or knowledge would know. His confident, soulful yet cheeky approach combined with his distinctive vocal has well and truly started to turn heads and to excuse the pun "make waves" within the Industry.
Musically, with elements of soul and edgy pop combined with Jay's voice and energy, you could think of a combination of the likes of Al Green, Rod Stewart, Plan B and Robbie Williams all naturally mixed into one fresh "unknowingly good" Artist.
The Boys: Jay is Confidently backed by three "Likey Lads" close friends/Oppo's: Bjorn Woodhall (Guitar), Scott Parrish (Drums) and Oak Warmann (Keys). This Dynamic trio are Known as " The Boys".
After already supporting hit artists, Pixie Lott, Florence & The Machine and Courtney Love and having only played eight gigs and SOLD OUT two (The Borderline and Ronnie Scotts), Jay is now being courted by Major labels and publishers.
