Jesse Rose (aka Content), released two original albums in 2006, the first was "More Than One" (Front Room), featuring collaborations with underground dance music talents, including: David Taylor (aka Solid Groove), Henrik Schwarz, Dominic Stanton (aka Domu), Jamie Odell (aka Audiomontage and Jimpster), Rob Mello, Chris Duckenfield (aka Duckbeats), Trevor Loveys and Jamie Anderson. His second album "What Do You Do If you Don't?" (Dubsided), is an hour mix of Jesse's original tracks, including: "Asided" and the hit "You're All Over My Head".
Jesse has been producing and playing records for over fourteen years. Raised on an upbringing of Motown Soul, Jazz and Eighties Funk, in London's Ladbroke Grove area, Jesse moved to Bristol at the age of twelve and started working with old friend Jamie Anderson at the beginning of the nineties.
The duo soon started DJing and began throwing club nights, homing in on their particular sound of Chicago house mixed with early Detroit Techno. By the mid nineties Jesse had already earned a reputation for solid sets across the 4/4 spectrum and it was around this time that those influences and ideas were finally cemented and Jesse began producing.
In 1997 Jesse moved back to his hometown London and soon started playing regularly around the capital and recorded his first mix CD entitled 'Tec-House Living' released on the Subversive label under his Deeper Sound Of Bristol moniker. The mix received critical acclaim from all sides of the dance music press, picking up on the unique way Jesse presented his sound.
In 2000 Jesse started working on his biggest project yet, alongside Chris Belsey, the Front Room Recordings label was born. The label has received loyal support from throughout the house music community from the likes of Carter and Heather to Funk D'Void and Tiefschwarz, with an artist roster that boasts the likes of Solid Groove, Trevor Loveys, Jamie Anderson, Atlantic Fusion, Rob Mello, John Tejada, Stefan Goldmann and productions and remixes by Jesse himself. On the labels front, Jesse also co-owns 'loungin' recordings' that has been receiving praise from the likes of Masters At Work, Gilles Peterson and Jazzanova, as well as his newly formed 'Made to Play' Imprint.
As well as his own acclaimed productions including the massive 'A-sided' on Dubsided, Jesse has remixed the likes of Layo & Bushwacka, Riton, Radio Slave, Phil Weeks, Elite Force, Jimpster, Kosma & Trevor Loveys to name but a few. Jesse can also be found producing alongside Switch AKA Solid Groove/Switch under the guises of Induceve on Derrick Carter's Classic label and more recently on the Dubsided imprint. Induceve highlights include "Jazz Chops", "Time To Begin" and 'Monolevel' on Classic and the "Pick It Up" EP & Warehouse Shit on Dubsided. Jesse also regularly produces alongside Trevor Loveys as Izit? on Made To Play.
Jesse is fast becoming one of Europe's most in-demand house DJ's, regularly playing the worlds most respected clubs including Fabric, Panoramabar, Basics, WMF, The End and Weekend to name just a few. Residencies have included Front Room Sessions @ Kinzo in Berlin, Wagg in Paris, a two-year stint on Kiss FM & Back to Yours in London, which he continues to play bi-monthly.
Early 2009 Jesse released his album "What Do You Do If You Don't?" featuring collabirations with the likes of Hot Chip and David. E. Sugar. The single "Touch My Horn" and "Forget My Name" feat Hot Chip hit the lists quite early and making an already in-demand dj even bigger.
