Jonna (Jonna Marika Pirinen), born 28th of December 1982, was first introduced to Finland as a member of the first band formed in the Finnish Popstar-contest. Shorty after she realised that the Popstar-format was not for her. She quit the band, which later became Gimmel. Jonna embarked on a solo career. She decided to release material that she truly loved: R'n'B. She became a revolutionary artist in the Finnish music scene, being the first true R'n'B artist in Finland when she released her first album "Kaksnolla" (Two-nil) in 2003. Her first single "Tyytyväinen" (Satisfied) stayed up in the Finnish official single chart for months. Jonna's best-know songs are "Tyytyväinen" (Satisfied), "Kaikki Talossa" (Everybody in the house), "Sateen Jälkeen" (After the rain) and "Jäässä" (Frozen). After living some time in the United States, she came back to Finland and took part in the Finnish preselection of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with a selfwritten song called "Puppets".
