Singer-Songwriter originally from the Highlands, now based in Glasgow. Playing original music since the age of fifteen, Josephine burst onto the Highland scene after playing a support set for Carol Laula on her 2010 tour. Since then, she has played esteemed festivals and venues throughout Scotland including, Belladrum, The Oran Mor, Nice'N'Sleazy's, Broadcast, The Ironworks, The Alhambra Theatre, The Scottish Story Telling Centre, as well as Hootananny's, London. In 2013 she supported Scott Cowie on his Scottish Tour and provided music for a Fringe production called ‘Gorbella’. As of February 2014, Josephine began working with a Glasgow based web series 'Cops and Monsters', writing promotional material as well as contributing tracks to be featured throughout its run. In 2014, Josephine took her music to abroad, playing her first European show in Amsterdam which was shortly followed by Sandvikfest; an independent music and arts festival in Sweden. As well as this, Josephine toured the Highlands and Islands of Scotland in association with National Collective and did a series of gigs at the Edinburgh Fringe 2014 with Free Fringe. Josephine actively gigs around Glasgow and the central belt. Her debut EP is due for release on the 23rd of March 2015 followed by a headline Scottish Tour. Her most recent single, ‘February Has A Smoking Problem’ has received attention from various podcasts, blogs and most recently BBC Radio Scotland.
