Kay Suzuki, a London-based Japanese producer and DJ, has grown up surrounded by quality music since his whole family loves music. Kay is influenced by a variety of genres such as soul, jazz, funk, afro-beat, latin, house, broken beat, Detroit techno, and everything in between and beyond. Dubbed “the hardest working Japanese producer/DJ in London”, Kay isn't about any particular genre of music - or whether it's electronic or live, but rather about the grooves that makes bodies and hearts move. He makes this magic happen through his own night and label called b i p o l a r , which came from his philosophy towards art and human sense. Since Kay moved to London in 2004, he is heavily involved in London’s club scene and had a debut release on BBC award-winning party/label Coopr8(CO-OP), then released remixes and original tracks on several outputs including his own b i p o l a r ‘s re-edit vinyls. He also launched the same label in Japan and licensed 2 titles from Coopr8 including his own tunes and remixes. His productions have received support from DJs all over the world including Theo Parrish, Osunlade, Gilles Peterson, Patrick Forge, Bugz In The Attic, Karizma, IG Culture, Domu, Snowboy, Benji B, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Jazztronik and many other worldwide DJs and tastemakers alike. As a DJ, he has been invited by promoters in Europe and Japan and has been enjoying great support from local music lovers because of his diverse and universal selection of music.
