Kiri is urgent. Like, terrifyingly urgent. They play music because it’s necessary. Because they believe in a truth. Their truth, your truth. Their debut self-titled release (out now through Lacklustre Records and Eunoia Collective) is a celebration of choice. Choice to create and search for similarities, in places where they may not present as immediately obvious, and the concurrent choice to respect the beauty and necessity of difference. It’s an invitation to think, and to revel in your contribution as a listener – a contribution that is equal to that of creator. Kiri will embark on a full national tour in November playing with the likes of Full of Hell (US), The Smith Street Band, Idylls. Mere Women, Stockades, The Front Bottoms (US), Apologies I Have None (UK), and Sparkspitter in support of their 7" record. Kiri are stimulation for the nervous system.
