1. Lee Mitchell - Singer/Songwriter from Northern Ireland "BIG tunes, BIG love, BIG things" - Sam Halliday, Two Door Cinema Club “Absolutely gorgeous” – Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music Lee Mitchell hails from a small town in Northern Ireland that already boasts an outstanding music heritage. ‘Bangor’ the quiet North Eastern settlement has spawned the likes of Snow Patrol, Two Door Cinema Club, Duke Special, Foy Vance and Van Morrison. A few years ago, Lee, a popular figure amongst his contemporaries, decided to up sticks and tour Europe on his own rather than wait around to ride the successful coattails of his musical friends. His self-booked tours took in shows all over Holland, Germany, France and Austria, and subsequently accrued a healthy international fanbase. Having the confidence of touring and honing his skills overseas, Lee has started to attract interest from his home shores, and as such has been asked to support the likes of Jamie Woon, Joan as Policewoman, Ane Brun, Tilly and the Wall, Josh Doyle (The Dum Dums), The Departure, Ella Edmundson and Joey Cape. Not bad for a relatively unknown artist.... As interest from fans continued to grow, Lee finally rested his touring shoes and hit the recording studio to record his first EP and answer the constant question from fans; “Where can I buy your music?!”. “Whisky and Water explore the journey of trial and error in life, overcoming hardship and enjoying good things, finally reaching a conclusion in hope. That, or just some nice songs” Says Lee. “I’ve been gigging for a few years now, selling sub-par demos to fans. I thought it time to bring them a release that I was properly proud of”. “Whisky” is the first of two EPs Lee Mitchell will release this year. The second is entitled “Water”. 2.
