Emerging from the winter of 2011, Look Yonder is the result of 6 months of relative hibernation for folk singer-songwriter Rory Evers. After a rocky few years of lack-luster projects and band splits, he decided to head out alone. One man, making a big, unique sound with just a ukulele and his lungs; Look Yonder encompasses the lyrical complexity of a 1960s troubadour and haunting, soulful vocal tones evoking tales of love, hope and fantasy. Throughout the drizzly spring of 2012, with a few sketchy demos under his belt, Look Yonder has appeared at scores of open mics and bars around Leeds and beyond. Look Yonder now casts his weathered eye towards the summer, where his unique style of alt-folk meets country crooner will be coming to festivals, carnivals and many whiskey filled nights. "Look Yonder is one man, a ukulele and his moustache. Short but sweet songs with crowd silencing vocals – reminiscent of Devendra Banhart but definitely different. Look Yonder is all over the Leeds scene at the moment." Leeds Acoustic
