The British-born artist, who now lives in Bucharest, brings with her a wealth of experience that includes close associations with some of the pop industry’s biggest hitters, such as iconic T-Rex, Joy Division and Buzzcocks visionary, Martin Rushent; folk-rock Diva, Hazel O’Connor, and Elton John’s legendary producer, the late Gus Dudgeon. She recorded RED, and later toured it throughout the United Kingdom, with the support of her friend, the acclaimed international producer and guitarist, Steve Askew. As a member of global conquerors, Kajagoogoo – one of the few British bands ever to have ‘cracked’ the United States – his vast insight and knowledge of the music industry endures as an invaluable source of inspiration and motivation for Lu. Already receiving radio airplay in Romania and appearing on television with Maria Gheorghiu on TVR, Lu is fast becoming something of a hot property in Bucharest’s underground arts world. To her delight, she was recently invited to guest on alternative rock band byron's new album, A Kind Of Alchemy. Lu’s collaboration with the celebrated musical excellence of Sorin Romanescu has further enriched her reputation on the live music circuit.
