Lyxx is the name of more than one artist 1) All girl, hard rock band from North East England 2) a blues/rock band from Cheshire in the UK 1) All girl, hard rock band from North East England. Lyxx were crowned winners of the Manchester Hard Rock Rising competition in 2012, the girls have recently worked with world famous writer/musician/producer Kim Fowley. Fowley has worked with the likes of Alice Cooper, Guns n Roses, Nirvana, Kiss and is probably most renowned for being manager of all girl band The Runaways. 2) Lyxx, formed in 2006 by band members Stu Cooney, Ross Beesly and Tim Cullen are a blues/rock band from Cheshire in the UK. In reality the band was founded three years ago going by the name of 'The Bluesicians', this soon became 'Slyx' shortly before playing their first gig on February 3rd 2005 at the Helsby BICC. Yet another name change finally secured the name Lyxx after confusion with regard to the pronunciation of Slyxx "Sly-kiss, kiss". It has also been speculated that this name change was forced upon them by several Soviet Union military special forces after concerns that the name Slyxx coincided with certain classified military regimes (however this is yet to be verified). Currently Lyxx have only one album, "strawberries & cowboy boots" which was recorded at Autumn Road Studios - Wrexham by Nino Errico. The Band's Album has sold many copies and is available In the UK. As of autumn 2006 Lyxx have been on hold due to the absence of guitarist Stu Cooney, who is currently taking a gap year to China. It is expected that Lyxx will be making more releases soon!
