Mad Hatter 2.0 were a band based in the South West of England and have been described as "groove metal" with "no thrills". They have recorded several demos and EPs. Their last release was the crowdfunded Deconstruct in 2013. Mad Hatter 2.0 were a rebirth of the band "Mad Hatter" (1988 - 1995), who supported the likes Paul Di'Anno's Killers during parts of their U.K. tour. The original Mad Hatter disbanded in the mid 1990s with the decline of metal music as well as band problems. They reformed in the late 2008 as Mad Hatter 2.0 and eventually formed what they thought was a stable line up, but this was not meant to be. The departure of their guitarist, Paul in February 2012, left them at a crossroads. However, it wasn't long before this problem was resolved, and they took the decision to take on two new guitarists rather than one. The addition of Dave (formally of Create Chaos) and temporarily Dan (My Deprivation), their sound has become richer and heavier whilst maintaining both the groove edge supplied by Kurt and Hayden, as well as Marc's distinctive vocal style, for which they have become recognised. Dan was not a permanent fixture and left shortly after. They bounced back onto the U.K. music scene with more passion and drive than ever. By the end of May they had already recorded and pressed a new double a side single which is available to buy and download along with their previous releases. In 2013 their album Deconstruct was released, as a result of their PledgeMusic campaign. On September 19th 2013, the band made the decision to break up. This was due to ongoing health issues with multiple band members. In 2015 they reformed with Paul Vyse rejoining the band.
