1) Mandelbrot is the solo project of Keung from Mandelbrot Set The solo shows focus more on the experimental side of guitar manipulation, utilizing the effects pedals and samplers to a much greater degree, and creating some mind-bending sounds. From a melodic base, the sound evolves in many directions, from digital crackle to white noise, from ebowed drones to subsonic lowends - each show is unique. For musical sign-posts, think the musical crossroads of Aerial M, Spacemen3, and SunnO))). 2) Industrial / Ambient project from Bielefeld, Germany, founded in 1993 by Philipp Münch (also member of Synapscape, Ars Moriendi, Monokrom, The Rorschach Garden and others) to focus on abstract soundscapes incorporating electronic and acoustic elements. Since 2005 Babsi Teichner is a full member of Mandelbrot. The first-ever live performance of the project took place on Jan 31, 2009 at the Bitstream party at the DJäzz club in Duisburg.
