www.marcotway.co.uk Marc has been playing music ever since his solo glockenspiel performance at his infant’s school concert. However it wasn’t until he finally started getting drum lessons aged 12 that he realised that music was his calling in life. After that, Marc started join school rock bands, winning battle of the band competitions and playing gigs around Leeds. A new dimension was added to Marc’s love of music when he started to explore the tonal side of music and learned guitar at age 15. He quickly became an advanced player on guitar as he had done previously with drums, and started to play lead guitar for rock bands at school. Marc went on to study on a BTEC course, learning to sing, play the piano and earning himself a distinction grade. Now Marc is his second year at Leeds College of Music studying for a Bachelors degree in Popular Music, specialising in composition. Marc is also skilled as an arranger and has worked as a composer and arranged for television. As a solo artist, Marc now plays gigs around Leeds performing as a singer/songwriter gaining respect from his peers for his technical ability as a performer and for his talents as a songwriter.
