www.mattmontez.com Matt Montez, an acoustic singer songwriter from the UK, backpacking Australia and finding his place busking and performing across the east coast. After developing a few tracks, he settled in the small hippie village of Nimbin. Inspired by the ‘peace and love’ attitude and the beautiful tranquil surroundings ignited a flow of creative writing . His music is influenced from the life of a travelling man who settled in the mountains to be inspired by nature. The vocals hold a deep emotional release of the passion, that is buried deep within us all. The underlying messages are we are inspiring each other, to live our life to the fullest, ‘Carpe Diem’ and live in the moment. The song ‘En route’ explains that no matter where you go or what you have, as long as you can spend it with a loved one nothing else matters. The line “find your gift to build a new reality” from ‘Once’ epitomises the transformation Matt went through finding his passion in life… music. His Debut E.P. was recorded in the wilderness near Kyogle keeping the vibe of the rural feel, that was there when the songs were written. Now available to buy on CD.
