With Slash and Hanoi Rocks bassist Sam Yaffa, Monroe recorded a cover of Steppenwolf's Magic Carpet Ride to "The Coneheads" movie soundtrack.
Monroe has also performed on Guns N' Roses albums, playing saxophone and harmonica on the Bad Obsession from the Use Your Illusion I album and singing on three Beats and Styles songs. He provides vocals on the cover version of The Dead Boys song Ain't It Fun from the album The Spaghetti Incident.
