Mike Wilkinson began writing songs at age 11. His earlest recordings were done in 1971. He had an indie country hit, "Breakin' Plans" in 1991, but returned to his blues/folk/rock roots as a singer/songwriter, performed solo for several years in the acoustic/folk field before forming The Blue Mirrors, a rock and blues band performing mostly his own material and some more obscure covers. The band performed around Michigan for nearly five years before Wilkinson went on to continue songwriting and recording his self-penned material. He plays guitar, harmonica, keyboards, and all other instruments on all his recordings, as well as doing all vocal parts. He continues to create and return to performing solo, and is putting together a new band encouraged by great response to his latest full CD recordings, or individual tracks from: 'ABANDON IN PLACE" and 'ACCIDENTAL MIRACLE".
