Davina Lee Cooke is a songwriter from North West London. She grew up listening to Madonna and Salt n Pepa but when she heard the likes of Nirvana and PJ Harvey that is when she picked up the guitar. Before "missdavinalee" came about she gigged with Florence and the Machines's harp player Tom Moth under the guise of The Dave Browns. The band was labelled anti folk by reviewers and was laid to rest in 2006. She met with Roald, Gareth, Angus and Jenny through chance and at university "missdavinalee' was then born. The band released their first single Come On through Helix Records toured the UK, played their first festival and since set up their own label Smooth Exchange. They released their first album This Love January 2012. Going to Norway in October 2012 with Gareth and Roald, Davina recorded 11 songs in 10 days for her second album, Hulder, which is due to be released later this year.
