Mobina Galore formed in late 2010 by Jenna Priestner (guitar/vocals) and Marcia Hanson (drums/vocals) and are based out of Winnipeg MB. They are a punk-alternative-pop duo. They embarked on their first Canadian tour soon after their inception with only a dozen alternative-punk tunes in hand. The successes of the tour lead them to Vancouver to record a self-produced 5-song EP, Skeletons in 2012 which showcased a bit of a heavier and raw edge to their sound. The album charted numerous times across Canada on College Radio Stations, reaching #1 in Kingston ON as well as Kamloops BC. During that year Mobina Galore showcased at NXNE, reached the Top 25 in CBC Radio 3’s Tracks on Tracks contest and headed on their first headlining tour of Western Canada to promote Skeletons. 2013 was a success for MG as well. They were finalist in Manitoba Songfest with their track “Hear Me Out” and again showcased at NXNE 2013 coinciding with another Canadian Tour. This year has been full of touring including two tours our West and a month long tour in Ontario and Quebec with showcases at Big Fun Festival (Winnipeg), Juno Fest (Winnipeg), Canadian Music Week (Toronto), Pouzza Fest (Montreal) and Golden Sound Festival (Golden BC). Mobina Galore will be releasing their latest studio album "Cities Away" produced by John Paul Peters (Propagandhi, Royal Canoe, Mahogany Frog) in December. The album is pure, emotional, punk rock written and played with love and an abundance of high energy. They continue to focus on planning the release of what’s going to be a huge album for the band and will be out on the road again this winter once the album is released.
