Motorcycle Display Team are three Londoners of colourful lineage. Formed in a blinding flash of treble when Mog (Dublin, wild drums) met lapsed-actor Steve (Bletchley, vox guitaris) on the Gumtree Confessions page. Finding a shared affinity for Queens of the Stone Age among other heavy melodic rock acts they played a couple of gigs variously as Little Sisters, French Kisses, Xes and then several more gigs as Sancho Pan7a. This naturally caused a few crossed wires with the Notting Hill Carnival DJs of the same name and eventually they settled on the more abstract Motorcycle Display Team derived from an in-joke. Since then they self-produced and released a well-received EP, The Crayon Masterpiece, in December 2009 They had their videos featured on Sky TV's The Source, andhad Firecracker featured on a BBC sitcom. They also garnered radio play from the likes of BBC6 Music and had their demo Betweenager (from the forthcoming untitled debut album) named Hotpick of the Week on Absolute Radio's Unsigned Band Review show. Having recently added ex-23 Frames bassist Fabio Felizzi to the lineup they are currently sorting a tracklisting for their debut album from their voluminous back catalogue.
