NARCS are an alternative rock band from Leeds, England. Their music veers from driven riffs and confrontational sneers to melodic lullabies, always served with a sense of story. Steve Lamacq has played them on his BBC Radio 6 Music show & in 2013 NARCS were named ‘Band Of The Year’ by Gig Islands. Their debut album ‘Two Birds, One Stone Later’, was named ‘Album Of The Year’ by Impropaganda Blog. The album is an exploration of uncomfortable truths, ranging from the angry politics of “19” – the number of Prime Ministers to have attended Eton – to the deeply personal album closer “Tall Grass”, a response to those who eulogise a golden-age ‘village green’ Britain. It was recorded over 2 days in April 2013 with Simon Humphrey (The Clash, David Byrne, Marc Bolan, Beach Boys) & released on September 2nd on Clue Records. ‘Band Of The Year 2013’ - Gig Islands ‘Album Of The Year 2013’ - Impropaganda ‘Gig Of The Year 2013’ - Dearly Noted https://www.facebook.com/NARCSband https://twitter.com/NARCSband https://soundcloud.com/narcsband http://narcsband.tumblr.com/ http://instagram.com/narcs
