There are several artists recording with the name Newton: 1) Newton was the stage name for UK fireman turned pop singer Billy Myers (1967-). He scored a number of club and chart hits in the 1990's. His first hit "Sky High" was a remake of the 1975 hit by Jigsaw that was produced by Mike Stock and Matt Aitken. His other club hits were both remakes and original songs wrote by Billy Myers. He was a featured artist at Love this Records before signing Dome records. Newton's first two singles both went gold in Australia. "Sky High" went gold in Australia in 1995. His second single, "Sometimes When We Touch", released on Dome Records Ltd, through Festival hit number three on the Australian singles chart and became Newton's second consecutive gold record in that country. "Sometimes When We Touch" gave Newton his first UK top 40 success. He had hits within the dance charts of many European and Asian Territories. Newton toured South East Asia and had chart success in Thailand. His songs were also popular radio hits in South Africa and Brazil. 2) Newton is an American noise artist, from Philadelphia. His real name is Mat Rademan. Mat also runs the Breathmint record label. 3) Newton is a Spanish "Makina" project formed by J.J. Verdu, José Vicente Molla and Juan Carlos Pla. They are the composers of the song Streamline, famous in Spain at 90's, but more famous on other countries like the song of a Pepsi advert at 2005. 4) Newton (뉴튼) is a Korean music group formed in Soul, and led by Mr.Funky. They play progressive house and nu disco. Korean Newton has a record deal, and they've released several EPs.
