Pappy’s are Ben Clark, Matthew Crosby and Tom Parry. Initially called Pappy’s Fun Club they formed in 2004. They were nominated as Best Newcomers at the Chortle Awards. In 2007 their 2nd show Edinburgh show was nominated for the If.Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier Award). 2008 saw them win a Chortle Award, they toured Funergy around the UK in 2009 and their next show, Pappy’s Fun Club’s World Record Attempt: 200 Sketches In An Hour gained them a string of 5 star reviews. In November 2009 they parted ways with fourth member Brendan, and continued as a 3 piece. Pappy’s produce two free comedy podcasts: Pappy’s Bangers and Mash and Pappy’s Flatshare Slamdown. They have written and starred in their own BBC Three sitcom called Badults, which aired in July 2013.
