There are three artists under the name "Pasha" 1) Liverpool band "The Searchers" made a single in late 60's under name "Pasha". 2) The 4-track solo home recordings project of Alex from For Serious this Time. Lo-fi, guitar-heavy and beautifully sad tunes, including covers of Meatloaf, Operation Ivy and Joan Armatrading. 3) Pasha (born Pavel Sergeievich Yushin) is a conscious singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer based in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Pasha singlehandedly recorded and produced his debut album "Conversion" in 2010 and the follow up album "New Root Race" in 2011. Pasha’s unique music is best described as Reggae Fusion drawing from the elements of Reggae, Rock, Dub, Dancehall, Ambient/Downtempo, World, and Trance. His lyrics are concerned with spreading consciousness and positive energy. From early on Pasha was into the arts. At the age of 10 Pasha was given the privilege to personally deliver a gift collection of his school's best drawings including two of his own to Queen Elizabeth II of England. Pasha's fascination with the Ancient World was sparked by his 5th grade art and history courses. It spread to practically all ancient civilizations around the world and beyond reflecting in Pasha's lyrics and music. In Santa Barbara, California Pasha started playing the tenor saxophone with the 8th grade La Colina Junior High School orchestra and continued until his last high school years at San Marcos High School. During the high school years Pasha was introduced and influenced by the music of Bob Marley and the Wailers, Jimi Hendrix, Tupac Shakur, Burning Spear, Israel Vibrations, and Sublime, among others. At 15 Pasha was surfing California waves by day and experimentally mixing tracks on his home computer by night. After graduating high school he taught himself how to play the guitar and started producing music under his independent Millennial Records label. Currently he is working on his third album to be released in 2012, while staying focused on live performances.
