Petr Kalandra (March 10, 1950 - September 7, 1995) was one of the most famous Czech blues musicians - a guitarist, harmonica player, and composer. Throughout his career he played in several bands, especially to mention Marsyas, A.S.P.M., and Blues Session. He was also a studio artist of great reputation and he recorded a number of film songs (Tankový prapor). As a child he spent some time in Tunisia, France and the USA with his parents, which later had an influence on his music. During the seventies he played with many famous Czech musicians like Zuzana Michnová, Jaroslav Hutka, Vladimír Merta, Jan Hrubý and Vladimír Mišík. In 1973 he started playing with the band Marsyas. In 1975 he got married, in 1984 he left Marsyas and joined the trio A.S.P.M. From 1991 till his death he played with the group Blues Session.
