There are at least three groups that go by the name of Phantom Limb.
1. Phantom Limb are a country/soul band from Bristol, UK. Combining country harmonies with gospel and soul, the band are a captivating live act with one of the best vocalists in the country in Yolanda (who also sings live with Massive Attack). Their self titled debut album was released in summer 2008 after playing SXSW and Glastonbury festivals. The Phantom Limb sound is an indefinable blend of classic southern soul and country blues. They blend modern songwriting and rich acoustic music with powerful gospel-inflected vocals. Already comparisons are being made to Mavis Staples, Aretha Franklin and The Band. Their honest, melancholic, Bristolian edge creates one of the most original and compelling new propositions of recent years. The self-titled debut album was the brainchild of Robot Club production team, whose recent writing/production credits also include Will Young, Skin (Skunk Anansie) and Fortune Drive. The album was recorded at their very own Robot Club Studios (Bristol) as well as Rockfields Studio (Monmouth) and Caveman Studios (Bristol). On 13th of February 2012, they issued a new album, The Pines, on a Naim label.
Yolanda Quartey - lead vocals

Dan Brown - bass, guitar, vocals

2. Phantom Limb is a duo consisting of St. Louis, MO songwriter, vocalist, guitarist Justin Kinkel-Schuster (of Theodore) and Oxford, MS drummer, producer, multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bryant.
3. Phantom Limb were a goth rock band from Oostende, Belgium. They are sometimes mistaken for a Dutch band as their only known release at this time, "Dance of the Guilty" was released on Sublabel, a sub-label of Torso Records. Phantom Limb is not to be confused with the Californian deathrock group The Phantom Limbs.
