Pip Mountjoy is a 19 year old folk singer based in North Yorkshire. She has been creating and playing music since an early age giving her plenty of ammunition for her frequent tours and gigs across the UK. In 2012 she supported Roddy Woomble (Idlewild), Tom Williams & The Boat and Slow Club and has earned a big name fan in the shape of Ryan Adams who heaped praise on her style and voice. Pip is a BBC Introducing regular. She’s been played by our family in York and North Yorkshire and Bob Fischer’s show on BBC Teesside. She has also attended two of our Musicians’ Masterclass events gleaning tips from big industry names. With a tone, style and look that rivals Laura Marling, Pip is sure to win over all those who chance upon her music.
