I. Pistol Pete has created a fresh sound in the last three years with his remixes of top hip-hop artists such as Clipse, Crime Mob, Ghostface, and Dead Prez. Born just outside of Chicago, Pete grew up on the Golden Era of Hip-Hop of the late 80s. However, not afraid to push the BPMs into the stratosphere, Pete's remixes take on all aspects of hip-hop and dance music including Hip-House, Acid, Juke, 8bit, and sample based beats. Pistol Pete's killer first white label in 2004 garnered praise and support from the likes of Fluxblog, Catchdubs, Turntable Lab, and Beats in Space. Most recently, Pistol Pete was picked as 2007 URB Magazine's “Next 100” artists to watch, who defines his remixes of Clipse's “Wamp Wamp” and Ghostface's “Run” as “skirting normality in favor of bizarre sounds to form bangin' beats.”
Currently, Pistol Pete has been recruited by indie and major record labels to remix some of their top artists. Pete is also on the heels of debuting his first original single “Make 'em Pop/ Care Bears on Crack” which was released on Vicious Pop Digital in September 2007.

He has opened for and shared the stage with some of the industries’ musical legends, including; Buddy Guy, KoKo Taylor, Buddy Miles, Billy Cox, Foreigner, Head East, Cheap Trick, Foghat, Kansas, Junior Wells, Bo Diddley, Corey Stevens, Joe Bonamassa, Mr. Mister, Freddie Jones Band, and Otis Rush to name a few. Brian May (lead Guitar Player of Queen) walked into one of Pistol Pete’s performances at B.L.U.E.S. in Chicago. Playing with only one string remaining on his guitar, Pete impressed Brian so much that he invited him to his concert and backstage at the Allstate Arena.
He is a self-taught musician who went on to win a Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition and appear on Showtime at the Apollo.
Pete has composed and recorded commercial jingles for Bob Watson Chevrolet, Ameritech Bell, Boston Chicken, Collins Chevrolet, and Domino’s Pizza. He has recorded 5 independent CD’s and has 2 CD releases with P-Vine Records in Japan. The CD’s include cover tunes and originals in all genres of music; rock, blues and jazz.
