1/ "Polymath are a Brighton based trio who serve up off-kilter math rock jams, akin to The Mars Volta and And So I Watch You From Afar. After self releasing a slew of singles they joined the LV family in late 2014 to release their excellent EP 'Reptiles'."

2/ Polymath, aka Martin Gowans, is a dj/producer from Inverness, in the Highlands of Scotland. Even if Martin has been producing actively for the last five years the Polymath project is only barely a year old. Despite such little time Martin Gowans has done a lot for himself. Radio 1 support from big names as Jaymo & Andy George, Kissy
sellout and BBC introducing Scotlands Vic Galloway, has helped Polymath get himself some serious recognition.
Polymath has a very eclectic style, his tracks mix perfectly elements from electro, disco, french house and ethnic music. It has been a while since a producer menaged to be so sharp, agressive, sexy and glamorous at once.

3/ Polymath is one of the world's first open-source musical experiments, which means that anyone can contribute to the project. Anyone can submit artwork, animation, video, poetry, lyrics, dance, ideas, audio clips, or just about anything else that helps the creative process. Their sound is described as this:
"Lyrics are torn from magazines, fresh and topical but timeless, provocative and personalised - an exercise in exorcism, flitting between painful, introverted intimacy and shameless decadence. Musically, Polymath fuse the organic and mechanic - the result is a brooding, twisted mix of soaring cellos, rumbling synths and irresistible melodies. Spontaneously clashing cultures, in one moment, gentle pianos are flayed by overdriven bass as voices whisper murder - in another, scattered guitars splice driving drums and searing vocals."
Polymath released their debut EP in march 2008 with band members Tom, Amy, Mike, and Ali. To contribute to future products, visit their website at http://www.polymathematics.co.uk/
