Poor Things are an indie-rock band based in Scotland. The founding fathers, three school friends, started the band as a cool way to spend their prime teenage years indoors. Over time they’ve come to be influenced by the melodies of Weezer, the sun kissed harmonies of Teenage Fanclub, and the adventure of Malkmus and Pavement. They released their self-titled debut LP in April 2014 to widespread critical acclaim, and it was named as an end of year favourite by bloggers Podcart and Scottish Fiction. Shows across the UK and in France followed, as well as appearances at T in the Park and Belladrum festivals. With a second record in the works, a recent split cassette with Catholic Action on Fuzzkill Records was widely acclaimed and sold out entirely of physical copies within 7 days of it's release. The band release No Way José on Gerry Loves Records on June 22, as part of a split 7" that also features Pinact, Sharptooth and Halfrican.
