There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Were a melodic hard rock band from Greece. They released their first (and only) album, "Silk Under The Skin" in 1990, before disbanding. The album was later re-issued by Unisound Records. The band are: George Florakis, lead vocals Rory Christopoulos, keyboards Kostas Kyriakidis, drums Apostolis Bakopoulos, guitar Mihalis Tsoukalas, guitar Yanis Plagianakos, bass guitar 2) Were a studio group assembled by producer Ronald Dean Miller that scored a chart hit in the early 80's with "Do It To The Music" which was released on the legendary New York record label West End. The other members of Raw Silk were former Crown Heights Affair member Bert Reid and three female vocalists, Jessica Cleaves, Sybil Thomas, Tenita Jordan. Raw Silks follow up to 'Do It To The music' was titled 'Just In Time' but proved to be less successful and was the groups last release on West End Records.
