Rest In Fear is an Austrian melodic death metal band. Their music combines guitar and keyboard melodies, a fast second guitar, rock-influenced basslines, and a forceful rhythmic approach with vocals and drums that move between traditional metal and progressive elements.

The band’s debut album, Insert Yourself, centres on self-reflection and the gap between an individual’s wish for a harmonious society and the need for personal action to make that possible. Rest In Fear presents its music as part of a socially critical movement of reflective listeners and as a response to both depoliticisation and the use of youth culture by right-wing demagogues.
