Rob Pursey is a full time DJ and Club/Events Promoter based in London who has performed at and organised events all around the U.K. as well as the U.S. and Europe. He is the man behind Hip Hop Karaoke London, the wildly successful, roadblocked weekly club night, which has been featured on ITV2, Channel 4, BBC Radio 1 as well as The Times, the Guardian and pretty much every media outlet inbetween. He has also taken Hip Hop Karaoke to every major UK festival including Glastonbury, Lovebox, Bestival, The Camden Crawl, Port Eliot etc. as well as events for Radio 1 in Ibiza, Nike, Playstation and other high-profile brands. Rob has perfomed on many tours and at many festivals/showcases (SXSW etc.) with artists/DJs including De La Soul, Jazzie B, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Yoda, Annie Mac, Gang Starr, Rob Da Bank, The Nextmen, Killer Mike, Tech N9ne, Madlib, G-Side to name just a few, and has been found DJing at every major club/concert venue including Brixton Academy, The Forum, Koko, Fabric, Ministry Of Sound etc. He has also released hundreds of mix-CDS and compilations that have received high-praise globally and has worked as writer, consultant and contributing editor for many hip-hop and lifestyle magazines. He is also DJ for Baby Loves Disco – the daytime parent and child dance phenomenon that has been featured on Dragons Den and has won numerous awards from many family/child related publications and organisations, performing at venues around London and Britain. With the Southern Hospitality collective he has promoted events all over London including recent phenomenon 'Players Ball' and will be once again taking these events (Hip Hop Karaoke, Players Ball, Baby Loves Disco), his DJ skills and well-renowned passion for music on the road this year to Ibiza, clubs nationwide, student unions and all major festivals throughout 2011 and beyond
