Acoustic four-piece Salt House is the meeting of four distinct musical minds on the Scottish scene. Their highly current sound is earthy, deep-rooted, yet eagerly progressive, built from grassroots folk with contemporary influences. 2013 saw the release of their debut ‘Lay Your Dark Low’ described as “the multifaceted work of a significant new collective” (The Herald). With a line-up boasting previous winners of BBC Young Folk Awards, a Scottish Jazz Award and many titles at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, they now join together to make “a seamless team” (The Guardian).
