Learning lessons from the masters like Dylan, Taylor and Jedward, Sam likes to keep his songwriting simple and to the point; If you’re looking for fractured rhythms and 15/4 time signatures, steer clear. If, however, your heart is in need of some buttering by a velvet spatula of melodies and tenderness, Sam may just be your man. A relative late-comer to the troubadour profession, Sam has gone from a handful of open mic appearances during ‘07-‘10, to having a pretty eventful time from 2011 onwards, with a headline at The Fleece plus support slots with David McAlmont, Sandi Thom and James Vincent McMorrow. He is still not too sure how this happened but is keeping quiet in case anyone checks their records and realises they booked the wrong guy... The Sam Eason Live Experience™ will generally find Sam playing solo with a looping pedal to add layers to his sound, with occasional appearances by his songbird wife to bring the yin to his vocal yang. Anything else? Sam appreciates beards. And nice people. And ‘cricket applause’ (the kind of clapping awarded to a good boundary at The Oval rather than the kind that would be generated by a gang of grasshopper-like insects...)
