School Of Imagination (SOI) is a band based around the songs of Barnaby Keen. Formed in 2007 after he arrived home from Spain with a new batch of songs written on the ukelele, the band consists of Barny (vocals, ukelele, percussion), Nathaniel Keen (electric guitar, backing vocals), Oliver Keen (bass, backing vocals), Robert Burgess (percussion, drum-kit), Kit Joliffe (percussion, drum-kit) and Josh Geffin (acoustic guitar, backing vocals). The band are yet to make an official release but have recorded a number of songs during 2008/9, some of which can be heard here. Influences include The Beatles, Fleet Foxes, Brazilian music, English folk and jazz. Most of the band grew up in Dorset but are now based in London.
