Science Made Us Robots are a UK punk band, formed in 2012 by school friends Fin Ferrol (guitar and vocals) and Paul Herring (drums and vocals). They play fast punk, influenced heavily by NOFX, Bad Religion, Rancid and The Offspring, with a UK slant on the vocals. Initial bassist Stuart Jackson left after the first few gigs and was replaced quickly by Chris Goodman (ex King-Blues). The trio played and toured the UK extensively during 2012-13, despite Paul's move to Scotland mid-2012 causing a logistical nightmare. Towards the end of 2013, Chris left the band to focus on other projects, and Paul and Fin elected to concentrate on the debut album rather than touring. After attempting the recording in a number of studios, they went with Daly George of UK punk band Drones, and Paul picked up bass duties. The debut album 'Rats & Swans' was released in May 2014, and Fin and Paul are planning to tour the album in October with a new bassist and second guitarist.
