Seamus Mcloughlin is a singer/songwriter who write songs about real life and delivers them with conviction. Thanks to a unique voice, classic musical arrangements, poignant lyrics and great melodic hooks Seamus delivers songs that are hard to ignore. Born into a large Irish family in the northern town of Preston, music was never far away. From an early age artists such as Neil Young, The Eagles and Bob Dylan could be heard playing along side traditional artists. An invaluable grounding for later years. By the age of eighteen Seamus was hitchhiking around Ireland, guitar in hand. Busking to passing shoppers, tourists and hippies in towns and cities such as Galway and Cork. "I really felt a buzz playing my songs to strangers, realising my songs touched people in a special way". On his return to England he decided to postpone to studies in photography and pursue a musical career. A year later with a band behind him ang great set of songs Seamus was playing gigs all over Britain to enthusiastic audiences. Although his fan base is mainly in England, over the last few years Seamus has been building a loyal followig in America, opening shows for The Alarm, David Garza, Reef and David Mead, either as solo artist or with his band. Often sleeping on couches after playing the coffee houses and bars of various cities.
