Selah Collins is a London-based reggae, dub and dancehall singer-songwriter and guitarist from the United Kingdom. He begins his musical career in the mid-1980s with a roots band called Black Survivors, which plays in England and Europe and records the album Famine on the Sword Lion label.

During the same period, he works with various sound systems and joins Unity Sound, where he records several tracks. Some are not released, but Pick a Sound becomes his best-known track from that period and is later described as the biggest hit on the label. The song appears on Unity Sound’s Watch How the People Dancing, which has distribution in Europe.

He also records for several other labels over the years, including Dubwise and Real Rebels. His releases on Sirius Records include Must Get Free and Empress. King Original later releases Hope, built on the Black Skin Boy riddim, on the Studio 55 label.
