Shakey is two projects: Shakey is one of many aliases of James Boyd, a Washington DC based producer of a wide array of musical styles. Everything from the harshness of Drum and Bass, Breakcore, IDM, and Industrial to the slower, more hypnotic melodies of Classical and Downtempo. He began producing as a junior in high school, when a close friend of his had an old Korg synthesizer. He loved the way that he could mold the sound to be almost anything he wanted. He didn't get serious about production and start releasing music until he was 21. He then took a break from production, but came back strong in 2004. With an impressive string of releases on ECDNB, Bloodborne Audio, Post-Hypnotic Suggestion, and Scythian Recordings, James quietly bowed out of production in early 2008. Shakey is also a group from Louisville, Kentucky consisting of George Wethington (Speed To Roam) and Petor Townsend (Bonnie Billy Band, STR, King Kong, Human Bell, Nathan Bell Band, etc...).
