Shaun Reeves started collecting records and djing in 2000 following his move to Detroit. He was influenced heavily there by Richie Hawtin's control parties and dj sets from Magda, Dan Bell, Rob Hood, the first visits to Detroit by Perlon artists such as Zip and Sammy Dee, and many more. While living there, Shaun decided to be an active member of the underground dance community and in 2002 starts organizing parties with his friend, Matt Abbott. This effort led to many successful weekly parties and one off events including an impromptu, renegade loft party in march 2003 with Richie Hawtin, Marco Corola and Derek Plaslaiko as guests . Other guests during this time included Dan Bell, John Tejada, Magda, Theo Parrish, and many more. Years 2003-2004 were signified by Shaun's appearances at the infamous Detroit "untitled" parties and the afterparties for those weekly events held in lofts around the city. 2004 was the year Shaun Reeves moved from Detroit, to Berlin, Germany. Basing himself as one of the local DJs, Reeves played at the infamous Panorama bar, at Beatstreet, Arena club, Club der Visionaere, Bar25 and frequently appears at Watergate where his own night "Space Monkeys Unite!" takes place. After this turn of his life and moving to Berlin, Shaun started working on production. Reeves' has since released on respected labels such as Raum Musik, Safari Electronique, Kalimari (as Uli Kunkel together with Maayan Nidam aka Miss Fitz & Lee Curtiss) & Mean. Among Shaun's present influences are artists, friends and locations such as Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss, Maayan Nidam(aka Miss Fitz) and Club der Visionaere that have contributed to his musical character.
