Formed in South Carolina and hitting the music scene hard in 1994, Sheldon has continuously floored audiences from Florida and Georgia, through the Carolinas, to Tennessee and Virginia. Their debut CD Psycho de Lia, released in 1997, has sold over 2000 copies at shows and in regional record stores. Their second album, Sleeping With the Enemy, was released in the winter of 2000 and has receved great reviews. Sheldon's unique style combines in your face hard rock with almost reflective moments of calm and quiet. Singer Daniel Garvin's unique voice, simple melodies, and the groups use of harmonies attract audiences from all walks of life giving them a diverse fan base. However, the groups style is not based around the typical "flavor of the day" sound. Live performances are an explosion of lush sound and energy that exhibit the band's superb musicianship. Sheldon's sound is as true live as it is on their CDs. The group consists of three members: Daniel Garvin (bass & lead vocals), Hodgi Garvin (rhythm & lead guitar, backing vocals), and Keith Smyly (drums). Sheldon has performed with such national acts as: Corrosion of Conformity, Clutch, Machine Head, Suicidal Tendencies, Stuck Mojo, Acid Bath, Drown, Snot, Nation of Fear, The Misfits, and GWAR to name a few. They have enjoyed air play on stations such as: 96 Wave in Charleston, SC, The Rock Station 94.5 in Winston Salem, NC, Rock 102 in Savannah GA, and they have been featured on several compilation CD's including Deep South Records's Southern Slam disc. Sheldon has also been mentioned favorably on the nationally syndicated Howard Stern Radio Show. If you are interested in a group that is dead set on bringing validity and a sense of realism back to rock music, then Sheldon is guaranteed to deliver. Sheldon also recorded two previously unreleased albums (Illinois & Electric Shotgun Sounds) that will be released in 2012 as well as an album of totally new material. After a 6 year hiatus, Sheldon is back!
