Shout Timber are a London based melodic indie-pop band with a dash of bona fide class, who formed in the exciting academic environment of University College London. Drawing as much influence from their love of vintage American literature and cinema as they do the melodies and honest lyricism of The Smiths, harmonies of The Beatles and the afro-rhythms of Vampire Weekend, Shout Timber establish themselves as great new talent on the UK scene. Their aesthetic draws influence from Hollywood noir, whilst the name Shout Timber originates from an Audrey Hepburn line in the classic party scene of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. In the live arena, Shout Timber are known for their high octane, suited-up performances. Past shows include 93 Feet East, Monto Water Rats, ULU, 229 and the Lock Tavern, as well as support slots for Fair Ohs and Jim Lockey & the Solemn Sun. They released their debut EP “First Love” in February 2012, a lively 3-track taster of their talents.
