In the instrumental sets, they have an amazing pace and energy. The tempo hots up, the harmonies get thrown in all directions, and everything is treated with fabulous musicianship and a sense of enjoyment that is totally infectious. This band creates great, entertaining performances. Slainte features seven members who between them play an extraordinary variety of instruments - harp, highland pipes, penny whistles, flute, fiddles, guitars, banjo, electric bass, mandolin, bodhran, bouzouki and a range of harmonic voices - which means a huge range of sounds Slainte has six musicians who collectively put together the unique sound that the band produces.
