Sound Nomaden is a music project based in Münster (Germany). Founded in 2008 by Tobi, a young producer, musician and DJ, it is basically a one man project but also works as a plattform for collaborations with other artists and -musicians. After years of playing music in different bands and projects and DJing at a lots of partys and clubs in the underground szene of Münster, Tobi decided to built his own project for all the musical impressions he discovered over the years on trips through Latin America, Europe and Asia. He is an open minded person and always on the run for new music and influences all around the globe. That’s why he’s describing his style of composing and DJing as Global Beats, the fusion of traditional sounds and music from different cultures, continents and genres with modern Club Beats. In his songs and DJ-Sets Tobi mixes a colourfull cocktail of Electro Swing, Dancefloor Jazz, Favela Funk, Balkan Beats, Klezmer, Brazilectro, Digital Cumbia, Arabian and African Grooves, Reggae, Dub, Breakbeats. His DJ-sets are always ending in a wild and joyfull dance, in wich sounds from the urban undergrounds of the world are celebrated. Welcome on a musical journey between Sao Paulo, Mexiko City, Warsaw, Istanbul, Vienna, Paris, London, Berlin, Lisboa, Barcelona, Kingston and Bamako. His first Maxi-Single, wich has been realeased on Montreal based Independent Label Mushroom Lounge Recordings in the beginning of 2011, focusses on the era of Swing. The old Sound from the 30’s is tuned for the modern Dancefloor with House, Hip Hop and Electro Beats. Beside the Swing-project Tobi was lately doing a Remix for Berlin based Amazonic Steppers Pachazonica, Balkan Beat Pioneers Al Jawala and Global Beat Master Adham Shaikh. At the moment he is working on his first full-length album. He has played with Dunkelbunt, Loo and Placido, DJ Badre, Pachazonica and many more...
